Hello & Thank you for your business,Please note NEW Booking Procedure for ACL-Grimaldi shipment effective tomorrow, Friday 7/26/2019. We apologize in advance for short notice, but Grimaldi has added this fee because too many shippers are changing bookings after original request and forcing Forwarders and Ports to do a lot of duplicate work. Effective Friday, July 26, any ACL-Grimaldi booking changes after original request to non-runner, forklift, back/forth, etc. will incur a $50 manual booking change fee. Please note there will be a $50 fee each time the status is changed.Example: Dock Receipt with a nonrunner/forklift booking is issued. After Dock Receipt is issued, customer requests a change to booking whether to Running, Non-Runner, or Forklift - $50 fee will incur each time
Please note Ghanem Forwarding does not wish for you to incur any extra charges, ever. Save yourself the fees and wait time at the port by making proper booking before driver is sent to port by assessing car status before sending driver to port. *ACL-Grimaldi does NOT make changes for drivers at port. They require 24 hours’ notice for any booking change and do not make exceptions.
Please be careful when booking to always book correctly from the beginning as these charges cannot be waived or discounted under any circumstances. We again apologize for the short notice, but too many shippers have requested too many booking changes, thus Grimaldi has created this fee for all the extra work done.

Subject: ACL/Grimaldi service announcement - update CTN Cotonou, Benin
Dear Valued Customer,
Per General Management of Customs Authorities in Benin, please note that from Sept 1st 2019 (discharge date), all containers and RORO shipments for destination Cotonou will require a Cargo Tracking Note – this includes cargo in transit. It is shipper’s responsibility to supply the Carrier with the CTN, which needs to be inserted in the body of the Original Bill of Lading and manifests. We will continue to accept and load cargo not yet covered by CTN, but please be aware that no release of originals will be authorized without CTN in place. Should CTN number be not provided before vessel’s arrival at destination prior to final submission of b/lading instructions, the cargo will NOT be discharged, but kept on board and returned to its origin Port of Loading, at Shipper’s expense. There will be no regularization at destination of CTN after discharging.
Please be advised the first Grande ship to call Cotonou after September 1 will be the Grande Congo arriving Cotonou September 6.
All cargo delivered on or after dates listed below will be subject to the new CTN rules:
Galveston – July 29
Jacksonville – August 1
Savannah – August 5
