Ghanem Forwarding is constantly making RORO Shipping more efficient for our customers. Please visit the Home page of our website www.gforwarding.com to explore the VIN Search feature. You can simply input the VIN (last 6 digits) and see current status of your vehicle from Delivery to Port, Customs Clearance and Manifest dates. We hope this helps our shippers view real time status of their shipments faster rather than needing to call or email for updates.
We are very pleased to announce beginning next Monday, July 23, 2018, there will be a change in the delivery process. All cargo for the port of discharge Lagos will continue to be delivered to Ceres Terminal. Cargo for all other ports of discharge will be delivered to Horizon Terminal. This change will give Grimaldi a much increased capacity for cargo in the port of Jacksonville and will speed up the delivery process. *In conjunction with this change we will no longer be accepting units at either location without titles. Norton Lilly will handle title clearances for both terminals.
Norton Lilly - 94852 Regency Square Blvd, Suite 415, Jacksonville, FL 32225
Ceres Marine Terminals - 9901 Blount Island Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32226
Horizon Terminal - 5263 Intermodal Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32226
Welcome back from a Hot 4th of July Holiday. Please review our updated Schedule posted online. As you can see, our July and August tonnage lineup is much improved. Our Baltimore and Newark Terminals are OPEN and accepting all cargo types including Non Runners and Forklifts.
Please make sure you deliver all your booked cargo by the Cut-Off dates to ensure Customs clearance. We plan on loading 100% of all cleared cargo with our updated and much improved tonnage lineup.
NOTE: Our Morning Cara voyage is loading in Newark today and tomorrow.
We are excited that July is finally here and our great tonnage plan is in full force. Our Morning Cara voyage is loading for the second day in Baltimore and will be calling Newark on Thursday/Friday and then Boston over the weekend. South Locus Point in Baltimore is OPEN today, Newark will OPEN on Thursday and both will be accepting all types of cargo including Non-Runners and Forklifts.
We have 4 calls planned in the month of July and will increase our tonnage for the 2nd half of 2018 to make sure that all cleared cargo loads and ALL Terminals do not face any space capacity issues and or closures. Please deliver all booked cargo prior to the cutoff date to ensure customs clearance prior to loading date and take advantage of our much improved tonnage lineup. Again, 4 calls in the month of July and more to come to support all your WAF RoRo shipping needs. Thank you for being patient with us, but we believe we are in great shape with great plans moving forward. With our plans in place, no more closures and or rolled cargo for the 2nd half of 2018.
NOTE: We are loading Newark on Thursday and Friday this week, and the Terminal will OPEN normal business hours for receiving on Thursday. Please put into consideration that there will be lots of pressure and longer than expected lines in Newark due to its closure these past few days and if possible, do not push all the cargo to the Terminal all at once. Let’s do our best to plan our delivers over the next few days while the Newark Terminal gets back to normal daily deliveries.
The Morning Cara’s cut off in Baltimore was yesterday, June 26th. Please push all cargo to South Locus Point for the Wisteria Ace and Sebring Express. We will load all deliveries to AMPORTS on the Morning Cara and AMPORTS is ready and willing to continue to support us if need be. But as of today, please push all your cargo to South Locus Point.
NOTE: All Forklift and Non-Running deliveries may resume at South Locus Point as of July 5th.
Our Newark Terminal continues to be tight and at near capacity. Based on the delivery daily average, we are forced to close the Terminal starting tomorrow, Wednesday June 27th to July 3rd.
As mentioned in prior communications, our schedule was improved and we are calling Baltimore and Newark 4 times in the month of July, but until then, we continue to deal with capacity issues.
Please push cargo to our Philadelphia Auto Terminal.
In addition to the Philadelphia Terminal, Boston is another option. Please hang in there with us and we promise to get back on track and load all cleared cargo in the month of July, please see our updated RORO Schedule - www.gforwarding.com .
As an update to our message sent last week, please be advise that our South Locus Point Terminal will open tomorrow at 1 PM instead of the originally planned 8 AM opening.
Please be advised that the Newark Red Hook Terminal will be at capacity at the end of day Friday June 15th. The Terminal will be CLOSED on Monday June 18th and Tuesday June 19th. The Newark Terminal will OPEN back up for normal deliveries on Wednesday June 20th at 8 AM.
If you can’t hold your cargo from being delivered, please use our Philadelphia Auto Terminal.
We apologize for the inconvenience, all Terminal capacity issues will be solved with our updated July tonnage lineup, there will be a vessel calling Baltimore and Newark every 10 days or less. But until July, we will continue to face limited space issues in Baltimore and Newark and your patience is greatly appreciated in the meantime.
Again, please push the cargo that you can’t hold until Wednesday June 20th to Boston and or Philadelphia.
The AMPORTS alternative option will not be available for deliveries for Friday June 15th and or Monday June 18th. AMPORTS has filed up quickly and will not be able to accept cargo as of tomorrow.
Please hold your Baltimore deliveries and deliver all cargo to South Locus Point on Tuesday 8 AM.
If you need, our Philadelphia Terminal is Open with plenty of space.
We apologize for any inconvenience and please hold your Baltimore deliveries until Tuesday or push to Philadelphia.
Although we have added a new Tonnage lineup starting in July, that doesn’t elevate the congestion and space limitation at our South Locus Terminal today. We have AMPORTS open and accepting Running and Non Running cargo, (No Forklift and or H&H). All H&H will still be accepted at South Locus Point as normal.
We plan on opening South Locus Point at 8 AM on Tuesday June 19th. Please advise your drivers to deliver to AMPORTS starting tomorrow.
