Due to an increase in vessel fuel costs, both Grimaldi and Sallaum Lines have announced a rate increase of $50 for all regular sized RORO vehicles from all US loading ports to all West Africa destinations starting on September 1st, 2018.  Any cargo delivered on or after this date are subject to new rates.

Notice directly from Sallaum Line: “The first half of 2018 brought spikes and dips in the Oil marketplace and brought uncertainty to future fuel costs. Due to such volatility in the Oil marketplace, we took the wait and see approach with the hopes that Oil markets would stabilize and maintain their 2017 price ranges in the second half of 2018.  Unfortunately, the Oil marketplace has only continued to increase and these new higher fuel rates have become the new reality. Due to such increase and overall increase in operational costs at POL’s and POD’s, we are announcing a BAF increase effective September 1st, 2018”

Volume Payment Discount - Ghanem understands the $50 BAF increase will affect all shippers here and in Africa, so we will be offering new volume payment discounts starting September 1st with this rate increase.  Ghanem will be offering account credits of $5 to $15 PER CAR based on the number of cars you pay at once per vessel.  Example: pay 5 cars at once, get $5 back per car (*$25 Credit or More).  Please contact our office for more details when arranging your next payment.  We encourage our small and volume shippers to take advantage of this discount and start saving money!

We strongly encourage shippers to avoid online payment fees, but we understand the need for convenience.  Ask about our new PayPal payment options available now.  Please note, there are additional processing fees and we can only accept payments from your account email, sorry, no 3rd party payments.
